Privacy Policy — LusoChat

This Privacy Policy explains how Inventa Melhor ("we", "us") handles information in connection with the LusoChat app and the lusochat.com website (together, the "Service"). We've tried to keep it plain and honest.

In short: we collect the minimum needed to run the app, we send your prompts to AI providers only to generate your answers, we don't sell your data or use it to train models, and you can delete your chats or your whole account at any time.

1. Information we collect

Account information

When you sign in with Sign in with Apple, we receive a unique identifier and, on first sign-in only, the name and email you choose to share (you may use Apple's "Hide My Email" feature). You can also use LusoChat anonymously as a guest, in which case we only store an anonymous identifier.

Your content

We store the conversations you create — your messages, the model's replies, and any images or PDFs you attach — so they sync across your devices and are there when you return. This content is associated with your account.

Usage information

We keep a count of how many messages you've sent in the current calendar month (to enforce the free monthly limit), the model you selected, and basic technical data needed to deliver and secure the Service.

We do not collect your precise location, your contacts, or browsing activity outside the app, and we do not use third-party advertising trackers.

2. How we use information

To provide the core Service — generating responses, syncing your chats, and saving your prompts and projects.
To enforce the monthly message limit fairly across users.
To keep the Service secure and prevent abuse (for example, app-integrity checks and rate limiting).
To respond to your support requests.

3. AI processing of your prompts

To answer you, LusoChat sends your prompt — and any attachment you include — through our secure backend to OpenRouter, which routes the request to the AI model you selected. The provider of that model processes the request to generate a response and returns it to you.

We do not use your conversations to train our own models, and we do not sell them. Model providers process your prompts under their own terms; the providers available in LusoChat are operated by third parties, and their handling of data is governed by their respective policies. We send only what is needed to produce your answer.

4. Service providers

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to operate the Service:

Apple — Sign in with Apple and app distribution.
Google Firebase — authentication, database, and file storage for your account and chats.
OpenRouter — secure routing of model requests, and the underlying model providers that generate responses.

These providers process data on our behalf or as independent controllers for the purpose of delivering the Service.

5. Data retention

Your conversations and attachments are kept until you delete them or delete your account. Usage counts reset at the start of each calendar month. When you delete your account, we remove your profile, chats and stored files, and — for Sign in with Apple — we revoke the associated Apple token.

6. Your choices & rights

Access & portability — your chats are visible to you in the app at any time.
Deletion — delete individual chats in the app, or delete your entire account from Settings → Delete Account.
Regional rights — depending on where you live (for example, the EEA/UK under GDPR, or California under the CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your data. Contact us to exercise them.

7. Security

Data is encrypted in transit. Access to your account data is restricted by authentication and server-side rules, and requests are protected by app-integrity and rate-limiting measures. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard practices.

8. Children

LusoChat is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. International transfers

Our providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
